5 different print finishes to help improve your marketing
If you want to make your printed marketing materials more personal, more exciting and most importantly, more engaging, you know a special finish is needed.
The tangibility of printed media makes it such a powerful tool compared to digital marketing and with print embellishments or print enhancements, you are more likely going to capture the attention of your customers and prospects.
But where do we begin? Let’s take a look at some of our most popular finishes that are going to make your print marketing stand out:
Spot UV
Spot UV is a transparent varnish that can help highlight an image or text on printed materials. This type of finish creates a raised, glossy effect, adding a premium look and feel to your print marketing, making them really stand out.
Foiling
Foil printing used heat, pressure and metallic paper to add shiny elements to your graphics. What we love about adding a foil finish to print is that it comes in a variety of colours – though gold and silver are the most popular. You can even get holographic foiling if desired.
De-bossing
Debossing is when a shape is imprinted into the paper, creating an inverted effect. This finish is a highly effective way of capturing attention and makes your print materials more tactile.
Lamination
Matt. Gloss. Soft touch. Adding a lamination to your marketing material is going to make them feel higher quality, more robust and ensure they look professional. A gloss lamination is ideal for image-heavy material whilst matt lamination is great for covers of a brochure. For a touch of luxury, you can’t go wrong with a soft-touch lamination finish.
Die-cutting
Die cutting is the process of adding shape to your printed materials – this could be as simple as having a flyer shaped like a house or more complex such as a brochure having a unique shape for its cover.
