Visual Print and Design - British Heart Foundation

Visual Print and Design cycle 1,914 kilometres for British Heart Foundation

Heart and circulatory conditions, affecting people of all ages and from all walks of life, remain a global health challenge. The British Heart Foundation, a key player in this battle, relies on support to continue its lifesaving research. Visual Print and Design, recognising this crucial need embarked on a month-long ‘Biking for Beats’ challenge throughout February. Our collective efforts aimed to raise awareness and funds, directly contributing to the British Heart Foundation’s ongoing research.

Our challenge consisted of cycling the distance from Land’s End to John O’Groats, covering a total of 1,914 kilometres! It turned out to be a huge target, however with the support of a some customers who visited our office to cycle a few kilometres alongside us, and the additional hours that the Visual Print and Design team dedicated to the gym, we managed to reach our goal!

Our commitment to the British Heart Foundation extended beyond the ‘Biking for Beats’ challenge. We also took part in CPR training, equipping ourselves with a lifesaving skill that could potentially save lives in our community. We also donated clothing to the British Heart Foundation charity shops, supporting those in need. These additional activities underscore our Comprehensive Support for the British Heart Foundation’s mission.

Statement from Melanie Meik – Fundraising Manager for Lincolnshire and Rutland

The Visual Print and Design team did something great this Heart Month by fundraising and learning the lifesaving skill of CPR. Every penny raised and every newly trained lifesaver has the potential to help us to change and save lives by powering our research into heart and circulatory diseases.

The British Heart Foundation has made great strides in research and cures for heart and circulatory diseases, but there is still much more to do. Heart and circulatory diseases are the world’s biggest killers, and they can affect anyone. Approximately 160,000 people in Lincolnshire are impacted by these diseases, but thanks to the research we fund, there is hope.

By backing the brightest scientific minds, we have the power to find treatments and cures that could benefit families everywhere.

Donations received give the world’s brightest scientific minds the best chance of transforming ideas into lifesaving treatments and cures. Stem cell treatments that have the power to repair damaged hearts. Accurate 3D printed models of hearts that can help surgeons perform complex surgeries. Drugs that could one day tackle vascular dementia.
