Following an intensive auditing process, we are delighted to announce that they have been admitted into membership of the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council®) Chain of Custody Group Scheme (FSC-C004309).
Being part of this scheme means that we are now able to process FSC certified projects produced internally as well as in partnership with our suppliers who are also certified.
Established in 1993, the Forest Stewardship Council has certified approximately 213 million hectares of forests worldwide. Around 40% of the UKs’ forests are now certified by the FSC. The FSC Chain-of-Custody certification traces the path of products from forests through the supply chain, verifying that FSC-certified materials are identified or kept separated from non-certified materials throughout the chain.
While we have been using sustainably sourced paper stock in production for several years, to achieve the FSC standard, a stringent and thorough audit of our supply chain was required to ensure the criteria were met. This has now been achieved through the group certification scheme.
The group certification has been specifically designed for the certification of independent small enterprises. By forming a group, these businesses have easier access to FSC certification by sharing the costs of certification and benefiting from technical support and control provided by a Central Office function.
